Romans 3:3-4 (NKJV)

“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar…”

God is committed to His commitments. Even when we have failed to be true, it cannot change who God is and what His commitments are. God’s commitment override and overtake the weaknesses and failures of men. God is God and man is man. Man will always have his struggles with life and faith and many times, man will fail to deliver on his commitments and duties. But God is not a man and His ways are higher than that of man. He is true to Himself as God and does not change because man is weak.

This gives me a sense of peace because it means that God’s agenda and purposes for our generation cannot fail because of our failures. He is God and He will make His will to come to pass, irrespective of what we do or do not do. God is God and man is man; simple as it may sound, that’s the great news to me. By His grace, I will do all that God expects me to do, but I know that God is God, and God will not fail because of my failure.

“Amen. I know this is not a license to sloppiness or disobedience, but I thank You Lord, that You are God and You will do what You will do irrespective of me.”
