JUSTIFICATION (4)

Romans 3:24-25 (NLT)

“Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight…For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair…”

There’s an old song that’s says, “Oh, how I love Jesus because He first loved me.” The beauty of this whole justification thing is that Jesus chose willingly to become “the sacrifice for sin…shedding His blood.” He was not coerced. As God, He chose to become man and take the punishment due to man, out of love for man. This is the mystery of divine love and justice.

So when the scriptures says, “God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight,” it is not truly free; a heavy price was paid for that grace to be extended to us. When we believe that Jesus sacrificed His life for us as the penalty for our sins, we are automatically “justified” and accepted by God because the offense of sin has been dealt with in Christ. Oh, how I love Jesus because of His great love for me, shown in His great act of love on the cross.

“I will forever worship You Jesus, because of Your great love for me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Jesus. Amen.”
