Romans 5:2 (NKJV)
“through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Through Jesus, we have access to two things. Firstly, we have access into the wonderful grace of having peace with God; a grace that we have entered into only because we believed in Christ. This wonderful grace of peace is the platform on which we stand and we dare not stand on anything else but in the grace and peace that Jesus gives. The second access we have in Christ, is the hope of the glory to come. Jesus our Lord has made it possible for us to be partakers in the very glory of God, and even if we do not fully experience all of that glory now, we rejoice in the sure hope that we will enter into it one day soon.
What an “undeserved privilege” we have in Christ Jesus. What a confident place to be in the present and what a great assurance of what we shall experience in the future. All this is the product of the mercies of God which we access through Christ. Halleluya.
“Lord Jesus, thank You for the access You have granted me to stand and rejoice in God. I don’t deserve it but I celebrate it. Amen.”
