DON’T LET IT WASTE

Romans 12:6 (NKJV)

“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them…”

We have received different spiritual gifts and each gift is unique. But these gifts are meant for the Body of Christ and not for you alone. We therefore have a moral responsibility to use our gifts to benefit others. Remember you’re not the same as other folks around you. You are special and you are different. But you are also indebted to the Body. The bible tells us to “use” our gifts. Don’t let them waste. Anything meant for the community that is not used is wasted.

I will not waste the grace of God on my life. I will not let it lie dormant and perishing within me while my world needs it. It was given to me not for me but for the Body. I cannot be selfish to think of only my own needs. The grace and gifts of God were given to me for a reason, and I need to fulfill it. “In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.” Amen. May I use the grace well.

“Lord, help me to fully use the gifts you have given me for the blessing and edification of the Body. Deliver me from selfish thinking and only considering how the gifts will profit me. If it never profits me but the community is built up, have I not succeeded? Please help me to always remember this perspective, in Jesus name. Amen.”
