Genesis 11:6 (NKJV)

‘And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one, and they all have one language…now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.”‘

Unity is power- and this is not a new secret. The reality is that unity of any sort brings results. When the sons of darkness unite, they produce more than the scattered skeletal operations of a dysfunctional and divided Church. When political parties & lobbying pressure groups unite, they can defeat any pronouncement made by the Body of Christ. The weakness of God’s people is our division.

In this context, the Lord being God did not stop their project but merely sowed division in their midst. Once He changed their languages, they could not communicate, and once communication failed, their unity was compromised and their project abandoned. Even God did not try to stop their project by addressing the project; He simply worked on the base of their power.

We must learn to improve our communication by promoting unity and improve our unity by promoting communication. These two are interwoven and form the best foundation of every successful venture. Do you want success in your team? Give priority to improving communication and unity.

‘Lord, I am not skilful in either of the two and I desperately need your help to grow in my communication skills and in building unity. Grant me the special grace to develop these areas of my life, in Jesus name. Amen.’
