Galatians 1:10

‘For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.’

As a bondservant of Christ, you are bonded to serve Christ. Let this be your calling and priority for life. Pleasing people must never compete with pleasing Christ. Pleasing Christ may overflow into pleasing men but this may not always be so.

Put first things first. Christ first; everything after. My goal in life must be to please Jesus. Whatever doesn’t spring from that, even if it pleases men, is a sin.

‘Jesus, am not just your servant, am your bondservant; purchased by you & sold out willingly to you. My allegiance is to you. Please help me to stay true to this allegiance even beyond & above every other life demand & call. Amen’
