Psalms 7:14-16 (NKJV)
‘Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head…’
It’s amazing the description attributed to the Wicked: ‘he brings forth iniquity and falsehood; he conceives trouble; he digs a pit for others to fall’. Why would a man live in such a way as to bring forth iniquity, intentionally create falsehood and deliberately work for another man’s downfall? But these are the effect of the Fallen Nature, the outworking of Satan in the human soul. Very gruesome indeed!
But may these things be far from those called to be Saints. May it never be mentioned in our camp that anyone deals in falsehood (that is intentionally giving false information and deliberately tricking others away from the truth). May it never be discovered that anyone desired the downfall of his brother, in any form and for any reason. Why should a man in whom Christ dwells be conceiving trouble for his brother? The community of God’s people must be far away from these acts of unrighteousness and may we be known as the people who rather expose and reject these activities, in whatever form they are found.
Sadly enough, if we chose the path of wickedness, God will surely bring trouble on our heads; and may it so be, in double portions, in Jesus name.
‘My God, I cannot speak for the community but Lord, may I never dig for or wish for the downfall of another man and may I never act in any way that promotes falsehood. May my heart and mind not know how to conceive or conjure trouble for another man. May I be seen and known for truth and may I not join arms with those who act in wickedness but rather expose it in every form and fashion. This I ask in Jesus name.’
