Psalms 14:7 (NKJV)
‘Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.’
There is no other place where salvation will come from, except from Israel. Or is there another who can so save as the God of Zion? Is there another that my heart has turned to for salvation outside of the God of Zion? As followers of Christ (the Jews of the New Dispensation), our hope must be firmly in the God of Zion. Though we are in the pains of captivity, there will certainly be deliverance from the captivity, and our deliverance will come from the Lord Himself.
O what a day of rejoicing that will be, when the Lord visits His people again. What do you seek deliverance from, Israel? Jacob, what is your need from Him? Wait for it. I know what I want. I know I will be filled with gladness and rejoicing when I am delivered from the captivity of this fleshly tabernacle and I see the glory of my Lord face to face. I rejoice as He allows me glimpses of that glory while I live in this earthly tabernacle. Oh, how great shall be the rejoicing when the children of Zion are delivered from the captivity of humanity and are ushered into the eternal & the natural abode of the heavenly Zion. What great joy to cross the river.
‘O Lord, while we yet are forced to abide in this human tent, may our joy ever be in you who allows us a glimpse of your splendor and your majesty. May we not seek deliverance from any other save you, the Lord Of Zion. May we wait for your deliverances over our every situation here on earth, but may our excitement break forth at every glimpse of you…almost like a sneak preview of the greater glories of eternal Zion. Oh! we can’t wait to enter the celestial city gates. And though in a sense, we already dwell there, but one day, we shall experience the fullness of the glories of the home we have so longed and ached for. Until then, teach us to live in this tent with total submission to you and hopefully in daily reflection of the King whom, we wait for. Amen’
