Genesis 2:22 (NKJV)

‘Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.’

When God was done with the surgical operation on Adam and produced the perfect formation of the woman, He woke Adam from sleep and brought the woman to him. Notice that neither the woman nor the man had an input into the timing. We don’t know how long Adam slept or how long it took to make the woman, and we don’t know the interval between the making of the woman and the bringing of the woman to the man. God was in total control of the process and the timing.

Let’s not endeavor to rush God (as though we really could!!). God has a perfect timing to release help to us. Yes, let’s ask for help but let’s not seem to think that it’s by our multiple asking and pressures that the help would be hastened against God’s will. Any help you receive outside of God’s timing is dangerous to you. Let’s learn to relax in God’s faithfulness. He knows we need help and He will bring help to us. We serve a great, a loving, a good and timely God.

‘My Father, I refuse to fret when it seems your help delays. I know you are doing some deep work that I cannot comprehend, even if you explained it to me. I surrender to your sovereign timing and I will not doubt your goodness because goodness is your nature. And forbid me from seeking or receiving any help from any quarters, that did not come from you in your timing. Amen.’
