GRACE WITHIN REACH

March 31, 2017

Genesis 6:8-9 (NKJV)

‘But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.’

In the midst of the darkness and perversion, Noah was able to find grace. Despite the corruption and the evil abounding everywhere, grace was still within reach for those who needed it. Noah somehow got hold of it because he found it. He never assumed that he needed to succumb to the environment. He knew God as the God of grace and found grace from his God. And grace produced the three things that were used to describe him, namely, he was a just man, a perfect man, a man who walked with God.

We must never cave in, to societal pressures all around us. The world is evil and we cannot expect the world to change, but we can find grace to live above the world’s corruption. Grace is also available if we reach out to find her. If God made grace available in the days of Noah, how much more is grace available in these days of the revelation of Christ? And like Noah, we must acknowledge that we desperately need grace to live just, to live righteously and to walk with God. Jesus is the revealed grace to mankind and we need to pursue Him with all our being, if we are to survive in this poisonous generation we have to live in.

‘Thank you, Lord, for your grace never fails. Help me, Jesus, to see and grasp the grace that you’ve made available to me. I don’t need to fall or fail once I keep my hands on your grace and I pray that my heart will never drift away from the reach of your grace. I know I cannot live right or walk with you, without your grace. Help me Lord. In the midst of today’s chaotic world, I need your grace more than ever. Amen, please Lord. Amen.’
