Genesis 9:19 (NKJV)

‘These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.’

Don’t despise the days of small beginning. From these three sons, the entire earth was populated. Did it happen at once? No! Did it take time? Yes. But despite the time it took, it did happen and is still happening. The entire earth was populated and is being populated, from the loins of three young men. It only needed time and a faithful repeat performance of the processes of procreation.

In the same way, we need to learn patience and allow the process of growth to happen. Growth happens when the right conditions are in place and we allow time to do its work of grooming. Every vision and every mission must comply with these conditions. Unless we accept that growth is a process that takes time, we will be tempted to take shortcuts or keep expecting God to supernaturally overtake the process of time. Time is essential to the process of growing any vision and we must not be averse to waiting for this gestation period.

‘Lord, am glad to know that even though I have not yet seen the growth I desire in the things I am passionate about, with the passage of time and with my continued faithfulness, you are able to make these things prosper. Lord, grant me the grace to stay faithful and to wait patiently. Amen.’
