Genesis 14:4 (NKJV)

‘Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.’

There’s always a time or rebel. Staying under any bondage is not fun, and we must be willing to break off the yoke in due season. After serving Chedorlaomer for 12 years, they knew they had to break the yoke. Don’t expect the oppressor to release you willingly. It will not happen. You must break out and forcefully free yourself.

Simple minded Christianity does not work in this spiritual battle. Hoping that things will just change without a confrontation is hopeful thinking. They will not release you. Their aim for life is to hold you in servitude. Don’t be too cautious. Take the risk. Confront the oppressors that hold you down. These spiritual rulers enjoy limiting your freedom and your potential. These powers of darkness in high places live off your servitude. Break free today by the power of Jesus. Break free and face the battle that must inevitably ensue, as they will still seek to fritter away your newfound freedom.

Therefore, before you raise the bar of rebellion, you must be prepared for the battle that will ensue and be prepared to fight for your liberty.

‘I refuse to be a slave of anything or anyone, except a slave of Christ. Under the banner of Christ and in His name, I reject and refute every oppressor that seeks to keep me bound under its canopy. My rebellion against every oppressor around me is permanent, in Jesus name. Amen.’
