TRUST IS NOT BLIND!

Genesis 39:6 (NKJV)

“Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate…”

Your life and character create responses from your community. Nothing worthwhile comes without a history behind it, and trust is something you earn. Trust doesn’t come of its own accord. Every little action of every day builds up into the mount of trust or distrust. If men cannot believe you, it’s because you have not earned the right to be trusted. Certain critical tasks and certain strategic assignments will only be given to those who have proved themselves worthy of that responsibility.

And as it is in the things of the flesh, so it is in the spiritual. Certain tasks will only be entrusted to us by God based on our past experiences. God is looking out for stellar men and women to commit His most important tasks to and He is not in a hurry to give it to just anyone who volunteers. You need to prove that the trust will not be broken.

Josephs master left the entire estate to Joseph, and he did not even know what his property was worth. Once they were in Joseph’s hands, they were fine.

“Oh Lord, my prayer today is that I may prove myself trustworthy before You so that You can entrust Your more important tasks on earth to me. I pray for the grace to grow in stewardship, diligence, and excellence – for I know that these will certainly endear my life to You. Help me, Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
