MANAGING YOUR DAY

November 24, 2017

Genesis 47:9 (NKJV)

“And Jacob said to Pharaoh, ‘The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred and thirty years…’”

The best way to manage our pilgrimage is to look at it as days, not years. Of course, we need to have the long-distance approach of seeing the end even from the present and to never forget that there is a greater and better form of existence, even beyond the present one. But always looking into the future may make us lose the importance of managing our Today properly. The marathon runner runs the long distance race by focusing not just on the finishing line but every step of the contest.

How you manage your day will determine how you finish your race. The daily disciplines and the daily actions and the daily responses and the daily priorities eventually lead to the summary of your years of pilgrimage. Focus on your day, and you will end your journey well.

“Lord, help me focus on my day. There are things in the past that I cannot change and there are things in the future that I cannot influence. Help me to be diligent in managing my wealth today. Amen.”
