Genesis 48:15 (NKJV)
“God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day.”
God is faithful. Israel was testifying before his son and grandsons, that the same God who had been true to His fathers, was also faithful to him. The conditions apply to both generations: as the fathers had walked before God and He showed Himself faithful to them, likewise, as Jacob had walked before God, He had shown Himself faithful to him.
God feeds those who walk with Him. He feeds them on His faithfulness and trustworthiness. He calls forth every generation to trust Him, and those who do, experience the provisions of God. The righteous will not grow hungry but will be satisfied with the goodness of God. As He fed Israel all his life, the same God will feed us all our lives, even as we trust in Him and walk with Him.
“God, You have been extremely faithful to me, even as You were to the fathers before me. I have been a recipient of Your lavishness and great blessings. Your provisions have not failed in my life, and for this, I bless You with all my heart. Amen.”
