Matthew 28:15
“So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.”
It is so easy to start and perpetuate a lie. It’s strange how quickly lies can start and gain traction. It’s amazing how gullible we are to believe a lie without bothering to find out the root of the lie. Our world is full of lies, and many of these lies were started deliberately and promoted intentionally. This world is a lie, and most of what we see and hear around us are part of the lies produced by hell. Satan is the father of lies, and all lies come from him. He is the original source and fountain of lies, and the world system is all based on lies.
But lies are only lies because there is Truth. A lie is an affront to the Truth. Because Jesus rose from the dead and men could not handle the truth of His resurrection, they had to create the lie. Had there been no resurrection, there would not have been a need for a lie. The world system of lies is continually working to deceive mankind and to push everything on earth against the truth of God. Every man-made creation that tries to satisfy us outside of God is a lie, and they aim to steal our hearts away from Christ who alone can give us pure joy. Everything, I repeat, everything that detracts from Christ is vanity aimed at promoting the lies of hell. Knowing that the entire world is anchored on lies, we need to resist the world system and fight for Truth. We need to wage a spiritual and holy war on ourselves to ensure our hearts are not seduced into the lie. We also need to stand firm to proclaim Christ as the resurrected Truth that satisfies every human longing.
“Lord, I wage war against the world system of lies. I refuse my spirit to embrace the lies of this pleasure-seeking existence. Jesus, You are my pleasure. You alone satisfy. I will speak against the lies embraced by men around me. While I remain in this body, I know this warfare will not end, and I commit to fighting the lies of hell from the standpoint of Your Truth, Oh my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.”
