HUMAN VERSUS SPIRITUAL VIEWS

Romans 3:5 (NKJV)

“…Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)”

Be careful how you speak, especially when you are not sure of God’s will. There are times you know what the will of God is and at such times you should stake your life on it, but there are times when you simply are not sure what God is saying on an issue. Be vulnerable and be real to yourself when you are unsure of a matter. Paul made it very clear whenever he was speaking from his personal opinion. NLT puts Paul’s words in this way, “This is merely a human point of view.”

There is a spiritual and a human point of view. We ought to always see things from the spiritual point of view because this is what aligns with the mind of God. However, while we remain in this earthly tabernacle, we may have times and seasons when we don’t know God’s mind on an issue or are spiritually weak to execute His mind. At such times, let’s be honest and real to ourselves and to others. As Paul did, lets state clearly where our thoughts and actions are of human origin, knowing that there could be error in them.

“I know that many times, Lord, my words and ways are of human origin, but Lord, take me higher to live more and act more frequently from the spiritual. In Jesus name. Amen.”
