Romans 3:22 (NLT)
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.”
Justification simply means to be “made right with God.” Everyone wants to be made right with God, but the problem has always been how. We work so hard and try so hard to make ourselves right with God, but we always fall short, our consciences bearing us witness that we are still below God’s holy standards.
But praise God that we are made right not by what we do but who we believe in. If we truly place our hopes and faith in Jesus Christ, then we are justified before God and accepted by God. The wonder of justification is that we are “justified” or “made just” because we are covered by the “just life of Jesus Christ.” As the old hymn says, “My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” Oh Halleluya! What joy! What freedom!
“The hymn says, ‘I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name.’ Yes Lord, I dare not trust on any frame but only and wholly on Jesus, the Christ, my redeemer and justifier. Thank You Jesus. Thank You so much.”
