Romans 11:33 (NKJV)
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!”
God is unsearchable. This is theology 101. For God to be God, we cannot fully know Him. Though we can grow in knowing Him yet we cannot fully know Him because the depth of God is beyond what man can comprehend. Our human faculty cannot embrace or digest the fulness of God. God is past finding out. We can only see and know Him to the extent to which He chooses to reveal Himself to us. Within the depths of God’s wisdom and knowledge are riches which are wonderful beyond description.
God is rich beyond measure. His wisdom and knowledge are beyond measure. He is high and greatly exalted. He is beyond comparison. We may have an idea of what He expects of us in certain situations, but we cannot always know and understand all that He does. Why? Because He is God. As NLT put it, “How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!” Our interface with and response to God should primarily be worship and not understanding. Of course, we should seek His face for guidance and clarity on issues of life, but to imagine that we can always fully understand Him is a fallacy. He is wonderfully amazing in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Let’s worship Him.
“I worship You Almighty God and Father. You are God and I simply reverence You and bow before Your majesty. I know I can’t fully know You and that’s ok with me. That You love me and are working for my good and Your glory, is good enough for me. Amen.”
