Romans 12:6 (NLT)
“…So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.”
It is God who gave the faith and the grace. It all emanates from Him, and if He has given you the ability to prophesy, then don’t hold it back. Some people have been given the grace to speak and to speak clearly, to the blessing and edification of the Body. If God has given you the ability to so speak, don’t feel that others may look down on you. Don’t worry others may think that you are being presumptuous. It’s not what others think that matters; it’s what God thinks that counts.
Speak out. Don’t hold back. There’s something stored up within you; bring it out. There’s a fountain bubbling up within you; release it. Don’t over analyze. Don’t over criticize yourself. Don’t let fear hold you down. There’s a grace given to you to speak, and your speaking will be a great blessing to the Body. He never said everyone will appreciate your gift. He never promised that your speaking out will always bring a positive response. His command is simple: “If I have put something in you to speak, it is disobedience not to do so for any reason.” You don’t have to be an orator, neither do you need to be eloquent. Whether your speech is in writing, singing or lecture – just speak out and release the treasures stored up within you. Again, be clear about this: failure to speak by God’s grace is disobedience.
“Lord, I will not stifle or resist the inward push to speak, once am sure it’s being done for Your glory alone. Give me the liberty to freely discharge what You have placed inside of me. In Jesus name. Amen.”
