1 Samuel 3:20 (NKJV)
“And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the Lord.”
When God establishes a man, it is evident to all. When God validates a man, he cannot hide. When God chooses to breathe upon a life, he does not need a title or portfolio to be recognized. God announces him to all. A child of God is supposed to be seen and known as one. A child of God is supposed to carry the aroma of God. Irrespective of his calling or occupation, the hand of God should be so clearly visible that everyone will know that he is not “normal.” Like a city set upon a hill, God’s hand on a human life cannot be hidden.
And so it was for Samuel. God’s hand was visible. God established him in such a way that everyone knew – from Dan to Beersheba. Everyone simply knew that this man was not an ordinary priest. Everyone could see the marks of a God-ordained prophet. He never had to introduce himself. God had introduced him. Oh! What a beauty and wonder. How we desire for this same God validation. How we pray and desire for God to so manifest in us, that everyone around us can testify that God is with us. The wonder of God is that when the time is ripe, His work in a man’s life will break forth like the morning dawn. God’s work in a human life cannot be kept secret.
“Oh Lord, establish me in truth and love. Lord, establish me by Your manifest presence. Oh Lord, let Your hand be clear and visible in my life. Lord, show Yourself through me. Let my generation see You through Your works in my life. I need Your validation and Your open approval. Let the world know that You are with me in all I say and do. This I cry for, in Jesus name. Amen.”
