SATAN’S STRATEGIC TARGET!

July 11, 2025

1 Samuel 31:2 (NKJV)
“Then the Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons. And the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul’s sons.”

As we have mentioned before, Satan has no friends but is out to steal, kill, and destroy. However, Satan is also very strategic, and he seeks entities that he can target, which will have a long-term, multiplying effect. That’s why he targets leaders.

Satan loves to pursue hard after Christian leaders because he knows that their fall will ultimately lead to the fall of many others. Satan understands the strategic role leaders play, and that’s why leaders are his prime target. The survival of Christian leaders is at stake today.

As pilgrim leaders, let’s be aware that we are special targets for the enemy. His bigger goal is to destabilize the kingdom and create confusion among God’s people, but he wants to start with you. You must be aware of this.

The Bible says if you strike the shepherd, the sheep will scatter. Leaders hold the flock together even amid trying moments. If the shepherd is still alive and well, there’s a limit to what Satan can do with the sheep. That’s why you’re his target.

They are following hard after you, just like the Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons. They knew that if they could get them, the battle would be over. And indeed, they were right. As soon as Saul and his sons were killed, it was all over.

So, cry out for divine protection. Don’t be silent. Cry out for heavenly help. In the heat of battle, ask for God’s deliverance. We should not ask for the battle to stop because even God will not stop the battle. But He will answer your cries for protection and help.

Pray for yourself, but also pray for your spiritual leaders. Pray for your parents. Pray for anyone you know who wields any authority. Your peace and prosperity are tied to the well-being of your leaders. Praying for them is a form of selfish praying because you are connected to them.

May the Lord keep and preserve you. May the Lord save you from the afflictions of Satan. May the arrows of hell never reach you. May your people not scatter because Satan was able to hit you. May you bounce back every time the enemy hurts you. In Jesus name. Amen.
