THRONES

October 13, 2025

1 Kings 1:46 (NKJV)
“Also, Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.”

We are all made to sit on thrones, but each throne will differ from person to person, and the location and responsibility of each throne will also differ. The beauty of God’s wonderful work is that there are enough thrones for everyone.

Seeing that there are enough thrones to go around, there is no need to compete or compare with anyone concerning any throne. It is a waste of your energy or resources to focus on someone else’s throne, rather than focus on yours.

Something else about thrones: God is the One fighting for you to sit on your throne. Of course, you need to do what you need to do to prepare for it and speak up if you need to, and show yourself worthy, but at the end of the day, someone is speaking for you.

God is committed to seeing you sit on your throne. He made the throne for you and will go to whatever lengths to ensure that His goal for you comes to pass. It is in His sovereignty that He has chosen you for that throne.

So dear, pilgrim, don’t look down on yourself or imagine yourself without a throne. If you are not sitting on one now, one is being prepared for you. The significance of the throne lies in its responsibility for the kingdom.

One more thing about the throne. If you desire it for selfish purposes, it will elude you. That’s the Adonijah syndrome. Desire the throne of responsibility not to be seen and known, but to serve others and serve God’s purpose on earth.

I assure you, when God finds hearts that seek His glory, He will stop at nothing to endow you with power from on high to ensure you have all you need to sit on your throne. That is God’s master plan for those He has called according to His purpose.

Jesus said to His disciples, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). Isn’t that very encouraging? “It is YOUR FATHER’S GOOD PLEASURE” – that means, your Father delights to do it.

Solomon did not strive to sit on the throne, unlike Adonijah. He knew his father desired to make it happen, and he trusted in his father’s wisdom, timing, and strategy to make it happen. And of course, David made it happen.

So shall it be for you. What your heavenly Father has ordained for you will come to pass, irrespective of those who speak otherwise. Have faith in this. Prepare yourself for it. Don’t stress about it or compare yourself with others. You will sit on your throne. Amen.
