GOD’S DESIRE & DESIGN FOR YOU!

March 11, 2026

1 Kings 4:20 (NKJV)
“Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.”

We are sometimes so overwhelmed by life’s challenges that we lose sight of the good that God has planned for us and that God intends for us. Our God did not create us to struggle through life. That is the work of Satan and not your God.

Of course, because of the evil that prevails in our generation, suffering, persecution and different forms of hardships have become part of simply living life or living the faithful Christian life. But that was not and is not God’s ultimate plan for you.

We were created in God’s image, and God’s original design was for man to live in the paradise of God, a place where there is an abundance of all that is good and righteous. Because of Adam’s failure, we lost that beauty. But it’s still God’s will for Man.

Therefore, let’s not forget what God’s will is, even though we may currently struggle through the wickedness and unfortunate brokenness of our world. Let’s keep in mind that God’s will is for our good, and He will still bring it to pass.

Look at today’s passage again. Verse 21 says that Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. But what was life like within his kingdom? What do we observe about the people of his kingdom?

Verse 20 says they were, “as numerous as the sand by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.” This was the kingdom that God set up for His people. This gives a picture of how God wanted His people to live…in peace and prosperity.

Yes, God’s will for you is peace, prosperity, rejoicing, and multiplication. To pray for this and to desire this is not evil. It is to want what your heavenly Father wants for you. That you don’t have it shouldn’t make you lose sight of it. Believe in it and pray for it.

Again, I say, the fact that there are difficulties that challenge this vision of God for His people does not remove its legitimacy. On this earth, we will have to fight to enter God’s vision for our lives, but a day is coming when the fight will be over.

In Revelation 21:1, John saw, “a new heaven and a new earth,” and concerning this new heaven and earth, a voice from the throne of God said, “…there will be no death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (verse 4).

Although we have many tears today, a day is coming when all tears will be wiped away. Until then, hold on to the vision of God for your life, a vision where pain and mourning is no more. Keep that vision before you. This is your Father’s desire for you, dear pilgrim.
