Romans 2:17, 19 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndeed you are called a Jew\u2026 and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two other things we can learn from the Jewish race was how they saw their role in bringing salvation to the Gentiles. They were \u201cconfident\u201d that they were to provide guidance to the blind Gentiles, and be a light to them. They knew that they were the only ones who had the Law and the Prophets and that they were simply custodians of these eternal truths, for the whole world. They did not settle in to enjoy the blessings of being the children of promise, but they were constantly inviting the Gentile world to partake in the covenant of Abraham by becoming Jews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And so must we. The Church is saved to save and we must take our task very seriously. We are to provide guidance to a world blinded by Satan and we must bring the light of Christ to millions who sit in darkness. This is our calling to the world. This is why Christ redeemed us. And this we must do confidently, not shyly or timidly. This is my confession and conviction: I am a guide to the blind and a light to those who sit in darkness. And so shall it be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes Lord, so shall it be for me. I am a guide and a light. I have a duty to the unsaved world around me and beyond my reach. I am confident in this calling and I am committed to work at its execution. By the grace of God. Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
