\u201cAnd when God counted him as righteous, it wasn\u2019t just for Abraham\u2019s benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our endeavors of faith and experiences of faith are not just for our sakes. God allows certain things to happen to us so that we may exercise faith before the eyes of the next generation. God is recording our faith encounters with Him, and God will display these encounters for others to see and benefit from them. What happened to Abraham was recorded for us, so that we too may partake in the same type of faith of Abraham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People need examples. Every generation needs examples. We all need heroes. We are called to infect others. Just as Abraham is still speaking to our generation by His faith, in the same way, our faith is supposed to speak to future generations. Even if nobody writes about you, heaven records your faith and only God knows how He may yet use that to encourage others. Stand in faith. Live by faith. Let your faith show. As you do so, you never can tell whose life is being impacted and infected by your quiet wrestling and victories of faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
