Romans 8:23 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the surest evidence that we are Christ\u2019s is that we know we do not belong in this world. The redeemed man knows that there is more beyond and he longs for that reunion with the fullness of the Divine. We cannot wait for the day when we will meet with God and see God as He is, and enjoy all that God has prepared for us. Until such a time as this reunion happens, we groan in ourselves. There\u2019s a daily mourning that\u2019s godly and correct; and that\u2019s the mourning for this present dispensation to come to an end, and for the new phase of life to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When people are too comfortable with this world, as many Christians unfortunately are, it\u2019s a strong indication that they are not located in Christ; for Christ Himself longs for this entire world system to come to an end. It\u2019s strange to meet Christian believers who don\u2019t look forward to the next life, who are more than content with this life, whose entire life goals are tied to the achievements on this earth and in this body. But not so with the reborn child of God. We groan, we cry, we moan and we mourn \u2013 for this body to be changed and for our heavenly adoption to be completed. NLT says, \u201cWe, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.\u201d Yes, we wait in eager hope for that day to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord, let that day come quickly. Lord, I can\u2019t wait to put off this old body and enter the new glorious one prepared for me. Lord, come quickly. Come quickly. Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
