Romans 9:9 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor this is the word of promise: \u2018At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is the word of promise and the time of promise. God had given His word of promise to Abraham, but the timing of God was very different from the expected timing of Abraham. When God says He will do something, He will surely do it, but we can\u2019t be sure of when and how. That\u2019s where our faith must stand firm, as we wait for God\u2019s timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Abraham and Sarah, we know that they made a mistake in producing Ishmael and later on, they had to send Ishmael and Hagar away because they realized their error. And God supported their action. Whatever we produce outside of God\u2019s timing will be a bottleneck in our lives. Whatever we produce by our own strength and away from the promise of God, will cause us much trouble. The key is to lean on the promise of God and wait for God to move. When promise and timing intersect, God\u2019s glory is revealed and His purpose accomplished. Waiting isn\u2019t easy, but wait we must.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
