Romans 11:8 (NLT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs the Scriptures say, \u2018God has put them into a deep sleep. To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see, and closed their ears so they do not hear.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nothing can be worse than when God begins to work against you. When the Almighty feels that your time of grace is over, then you are in big trouble. If God chooses to close a door, nobody can open it and if God chooses to open a door, nobody can close it. The Almighty God cannot be moved or changed against His will. For this reason, if God chooses to put you into \u201cdeep sleep,\u201d then who can wake you up? That\u2019s the most terrible situation a man can ever find himself in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After generations of wooing their hearts away from all their foreign gods, and after trying to help them see that salvation is by faith alone and not by works \u2013 and having failed, God decided to \u201cshut their eyes and close their ears.\u201d May we never get to that point that God starts to work against us. It is never a good situation if the Lord chooses to turn things against you, dismantling all your human sensitivities and abilities. We need to keep in step with Jesus to ensure that we are not coming across as perpetually disobedient and hardened people. May God never \u201cput me into deep sleep,\u201d in Jesus name. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
