Be God’s channel of blessing. Declare God’s blessings over people. At every opportunity, look for ways to bring blessing on people around you. When people come to you, don’t let them go without a blessing. When people give to you, bless them. When people give to God, bless them. In all your doing, let blessings flow and let them flow in the name of the Lord. Blessings originating from you don’t mean much and can’t amount to much. Blessings that are not God’s blessings, have no relevance.

Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife. Eli took his priestly role seriously because he knew God listened to him. Eli did not speak carelessly or bless people inappropriately. His words of blessing were purposeful, measured and focused. He blessed Elkanah and Hannah because of what they had offered the Lord. He intentionally blessed them because he knew God had blessed them. Bless those whom God has blessed or whom God intends to bless. Don’t bless those whom God has cursed or who are living in direct disobedience to God. Blessing a sinner is abhorrent to God. Bless and curse not, but don’t bless what is evil. Be a blessing. Refusing to bless evil is a blessing.

“I am born to bless. My life will be a blessing to my generation. I will speak Your blessings, O Lord.
