\u201cSo Samuel lay down until morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Know when to speak and when to be silent. There are times when you may want to say something but you know that the backlash will be severe. If God wants you to speak, then go ahead and do so. But if not, it is wise to be silent. Sometimes, we speak before time or when God has not asked us to. This can bring about unfortunate responses and reactions. God has timing for everything, and not every revelation needs to be shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God had spoken to Samuel but God did not ask him to say anything to anyone. Samuel of course knew the weight of the revelation and therefore did not plan to say anything, until he was forced to. When you are forced to speak and you have peace from God to do so, then you can go ahead. If you are not forced to speak and God has not asked you to, then be silent. Learn to bury some things in your heart. It takes discipline to keep God\u2019s revelations until the appointed time. Speaking before time is a recipe for disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLord, help me learn the discipline of waiting to speak at the right time. Like Samuel, help me not to jump up and share every revelation I receive, except I really have to. In Your name I pray.
