\u201cAnd when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus is the wonder of heaven and earth. Everything about Jesus is a wonder and astonishment: His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, His glorious abode, His planned return. While observing Jesus is amazing, listening to His Words is simply astonishing. He is the eternal Word of God and when He dwelt among men, every word He spoke left men astounded. And praise God; Jesus is still speaking today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through the written Word and through other diverse means, Jesus continues to hold us in awe and reverence because His power to amaze did not diminish after His physical departure from earth. By His Spirit, Jesus continues to show that His Word is all-powerful and His wisdom is all-consuming; and for those who desire Him, He remains our continual wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLord Jesus, may I always live in the wonder of Your Word. Astonish me Lord; astonish me. O Jesus, may the affairs of this life not diminish my ability to perceive and receive the glory of Your Person and Your Word. This I earnestly ask for in Your own very name.
