\u201cFor as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark\u2026Then two <\/em>men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two <\/em>women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is a sad reality but Jesus could not have been clearer as He was in this illustration. In the days before the flood, Noah had preached the message of righteousness but men were too busy to take Him seriously. The message of an impending judgment from God did not resonate with Noah\u2019s generation because everything was working out as normal for them. They were eating, drinking, marrying and so forth; not realizing they were seconds away from total obliteration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is a sad inevitable reality that many will continue their busy lives while they put off thinking deeply on the issues of their eternal destinies. For this reason, some will be left behind: \u201cThen two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.\u201d \u2013 Verses 40-41. As in the days of Noah, some will be left behind when the eternal separation shall take place in the coming end of age. Because many people will be too distracted and caught up in the daily mundane chores of living, several will be unprepared for the final day of reckoning. This is sad, but the inevitable end of billions of humans will be eternal disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cO Jesus, may I never let the mundane daily duties and the busyness of this life keep me from daily and active preparation for my eternal destiny. In Your name, I pray.
