\u201cBut the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Don\u2019t entrust your destiny to the crowd. Don\u2019t throw your pearls among swine. Don\u2019t surrender your precious vision to men of the crowd. The crowd is always unreliable. One moment they are all going left, and the next moment they are turning right. The crowd is always unpredictable, and it doesn\u2019t take much to sway them away from the path of correctness. If you have anything of value, share it with your trusted friends who can preserve and pursue it with you. The crowd may seem willing today, but you can never count on their commitment tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am not sure what the chief priests and elders promised the crowds, but whatever it was, it didn\u2019t take long for the crowd to be convinced to destroy Jesus in the stead of a seasoned criminal instead. The crowd doesn\u2019t work with right and wrong. They operate based on feelings and personalities. Any person who wants to maximize his life will minimize his participation with the crowds. There\u2019s no other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFather, I am encouraged today because I realize that I don\u2019t need to belong to the crowd. I never was a crowd person, and I am even more determined not to be one. Thank You, Lord.
