The error is not a motivational error, but a theological error. Because the world has a wrong foundational thesis, their whole perspective of Jesus and the Church is completely wrong. They think that Jesus needs us to function and that Jesus is dependent on our help to establish His purpose. What nonsense; there cannot be anything farther from the truth. Jesus is not dependent on the Church; the Church is dependent on Jesus. Yes, there is a critical connection between both, but the \u201cHead\u201d is Jesus and not the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The religious leaders thought that the disciples of Jesus would come and steal the body of Jesus at night to make Jesus\u2019 prediction of resurrection seem true. So, they needed Roman guards to \u201cprotect\u201d the dead body of Jesus from the hands of His disciples; and yet, this was completely unnecessary. This misplaced emphasis by men has led to the most outrageous persecutions against the Disciples of Christ in every generation because men think that by so doing, they are crippling and limiting Jesus. But here is the truth: Jesus is above His Church. Jesus is Lord of all. Men cannot limit Jesus even if they strike down His Church. As with the attempt to restrict His resurrection, Jesus\u2019 power will always establish His purposes irrespective of the warfare of men against Him or the weaknesses of His Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLord Jesus, I am so excited by this revelation because You are showing me again that You are Lord of all, and You don\u2019t live in dependence on my capabilities or capacities. You are above and beyond Man, and all Man\u2019s ways.
