Matthew 28:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have repeatedly struggled with the cancer of doubt. While it is easy to worship Him when things are comfortable and well organized, it is sometimes hard to worship Him when things are not going as planned. When we find life smooth and well aligned, worship is natural because we are experiencing the great favors of God. But what of when life takes us on an unexpected bend? Do we still have the strength to keep worshiping?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The disciples had gone through the exciting stages of Jesus\u2019 ministry, and they had also gone through the low dark fields of Golgotha where they drank from the cup of sorrow, shame, and abandonment. Now that Jesus had reappeared again, I can understand that some of them struggled with doubt. The questions on their minds may have been: \u201cCan we fully trust our hearts to Him again? Where next would He take us and what next would He expect us to do?\u201d Following Jesus can be unpredictable and can lead to doubtful moments, particularly when you are not sure what Jesus would do next or what He would demand of you next. But doubting Jesus is not the way to go, even when we don\u2019t understand Him. What we need is the grace to worship Him despite our fears and uncertainties. Doubting Jesus will cripple our faith. So even when we are afraid, perplexed or unsure, let\u2019s worship Him knowing that He is always in control of things, even in the lowlands of Golgotha and on the hill of Calvary. Don\u2019t doubt. Trust God. Worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cForgive me, Lord. I have not always worshipped Lord, and I have doubted many times. When I have felt unsure, rather than wait in worship, I have fretted and fussed and become unstable in my heart. Lord, strengthen this weak servant of Yours and grant me the courage to wait in worship. In Jesus, I pray.
