Genesis 3:16-19 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018To the woman He said: \u201cI will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.\u201d Then to Adam He said, \u201cBecause you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, \u2018You shall not eat of it\u2019: \u201cCursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.\u201d \u2018<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This passage is so painful on my heart this morning. How Man\u2019s glorious destiny could end up with such a pathetic closure, is beyond comprehension and a catastrophic loss. But it also sends shivers into my spine. I know God has great and glorious plans for me. I know my present, my future, and my destiny is glorious; but it is not cast in stone. It is possible to lose it out of carelessness, a desire for pleasure, a lack of discernment and too much focus on the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although God did not declare a curse on Man himself, yet if Man were wise, he would discern that everything else around him was cursed and the changes effected by God\u2019s pronouncements was a curse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Living a carefree life is not an option. Living in the constant consciousness of my prophetic destiny is critical. Knowing that Satan\u2019s ultimate goal is to reduce me to nothing, must be my constant understanding and watchword.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018O God, I fear and tremble for my life. If these men who walked with you could fall into such disgrace, what hopes do I have, if not for the mercy I cling to in Christ. How I thank you that my salvation is not by works but through the sacrifice of Christ the Savior.
