Genesis 13:8 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018So Abram said to Lot, \u201cPlease let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.\u201d \u2018<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Abram was a humble man. Abram was a man of peace. Abram was a man of God. Although Lot was his young nephew, Abram dealt with him with gentleness and nobility. He appealed to him. He entreated him- all for the sake of peace. Abram did not want strife with a member of the family, even if others were the ones seeking to engender the strife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n May we so be. May we diligently seek peace. May we not be people quickly entangled by strife and other similar encumbrances. May we seek heaven\u2019s wisdom on how to relate with the brethren without striving. In this case, Abram asked that they are peacefully separated so that strife does not continue. Yes, separation may be the best solution to solve disagreements at times. When a situation does not seem resolvable, wisdom may demand a peaceful separation; a separation that is in love with a clear goal in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018Father, please raise me above the strife that stifles and cripples Your anointing on my life. O Lord, deliver me from people who will seek to cause strife among brethren. And please give me the wisdom to quickly solve every situation of conflict around me, in Jesus name.
