Genesis 15:1 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018\u2026.saying, \u201cDo not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.\u201d\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n There were no external signs that Abram was afraid but God knew what he was afraid of. God could see beyond the superficial to know what his real fears and struggles were. Abram had just returned from a successful military campaign, and he had fought fearlessly and won gloriously; yet deep within, Abram had his fears; fears so deep that no one could decipher or suspect- except the Almighty who sees and knows all things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s not camouflage before God. He sees all that we think or feel. He knows us better than we know ourselves. We may impress or deceive men by our carefully orchestrated external presentations, but God cannot be fooled. And because He loves us, He wants to put His finger on the things that count the most in our lives and to touch us where we need Him the most. Let\u2019s be vulnerable and open to Him to whom nothing can be hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He knows. So tell Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018Father, it doesn\u2019t make sense to hide anything from You. You know me better than I know myself and You love better than I can love myself. I promise to be transparent with You Lord, even by Your grace. In Jesus name.
