Genesis 16:9 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018The Angel of the Lord said to her, \u201cReturn to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.\u201d\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Because of Sarai\u2019s harsh treatment of Hagar, she ran away from her mistress but when the Angel met her, rather than have compassion and understand the error of her mistress; the Angel commanded her to return and submit to Sarai. Isn\u2019t that injustice? Shouldn\u2019t God have been sympathetic towards her plight?<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are no perfect leaders, and we must learn to walk with and work with them, with all their frailties. Running away is not an option for the spiritual man. Until God chooses to release you, we must learn to submit to those God has asked to lead you. They may do things that are cruel but let\u2019s wait for the right season and good timing to leave them. Of course, there could be exceptions to the rule, but the rule is: submit to your leaders despite their weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God honors those who live in submission to their leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018I know my leader is not perfect but neither am I. As I observe his many shortcomings, O Lord, grant me the grace to submit to him all the same, and help me to see him as God\u2019s instrument to mold me even through his imperfectness. In Jesus name.
