Genesis 22:3 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took\u2026 Isaac his son\u2026and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n What manner of faith is this? I must confess that I do not have this type of faith. After God had asked him to take his \u201cOnly Son\u201d to sacrifice on the mount, Abraham \u201crose early in the morning\u201d to do it!! What??? Did he not need time to discuss and negotiate with God? Did he not think it necessary to get his wife\u2019s understanding and consent? Should he not have prepared himself and calmed his nerves and encouraged his heart, at least for a few days, before setting out? What manner of man is this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is faith. Obeying even when it hurts and even when you don\u2019t understand. This is faith. Setting out to obey God even when every part of you screams- \u201cit doesn\u2019t make sense.\u201d This is true faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cO Lord, grant me this type of faith and help me function in it from today. In Jesus\u2019 name.
