Genesis 24:10 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen the servant took ten of his master\u2019s camels and departed, for all his master\u2019s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Abraham was a man who had confidence in his staff and effectively delegated without any fear. Verse 2 introduced this his servant as one, \u201c\u2026who ruled over all that he (Abraham) had\u2026\u201d Here in verses 10, we see him again described as having control over all that his master had. It was, therefore, his discretion to take as many camels as he saw fit for the journey ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Abraham knew that he could not dare micromanage his estate and he empowered men to run things for him. He trusted this servant not only with his material goods; he trusted this servant even with the delicate task of choosing a wife for his son. What greater trust can there be!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you trust people or do you second-guess those around you? God has given you people, and He expects you to work with them. Trust them. Empower them. Release them to take the initiative. And it will be well with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLord, thank You for surrounding me with dependable men and women. May I always show my trust in them by releasing them into greater levels of responsibility on my behalf. May they always sense my confidence in their actions.
