Genesis 24:57-58 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo they said, \u2018We will call the young woman and ask her personally.\u2019 Then they called Rebekah and said to her, \u2018Will you go with this man?\u2019 And she said, I will go.\u2019 \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Involve the bride in the marriage process. We shouldn\u2019t just treat her like a commodity for sale. Her thoughts count. Her feelings count. Her timing counts. Rebekah knew this was the Lord\u2019s doing and she had no fear. When her family wanted to keep her for a few more days, she opted to go immediately. What faith. I respect Rebekah so much for this. She knew what God was doing and she was willing to move with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a bride to be, don\u2019t delay the hand of God. Don\u2019t sit back as a bystander. Get involved. Speak your mind. Arise and respond to God. Let your family know your heart and your convictions. Let it be clear to all what you sense is God\u2019s will for your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh Lord, raise daughters who know Your will and Your timing. Oh Lord, us parents, please give us reasonable hearts that involve our girls in the marriage process. O Lord, let all happen in Your timing and not ours. In Jesus\u2019 name.
