He was a man who was a thinker. Here we see him coming from the field of meditation; the field of quietness; the field where he would usually retreat to meet with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It did not say he came from the place of prayer. Prayer must never be confused with meditation. Meditation is the discipline of inward reflection and quietness. In meditation, more effort is put on the discipline of listening. In meditation, the emphasis is on hearing what God thinks and feels on issues. Meditation isn\u2019t easy. Because we are more prone to noise and companionship, this is an art that can only be developed through the hard efforts of personal withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was from the place of meditation that a bride was given to him. Could God have hinted him that this was about to happen? \u201cOh! The blessedness of having a quiet inward spirit.\u201d May we each develop our unique \u201cfields of meditation,\u201d and God will surely go the field to wait for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAmen, Lord. Amen. Quieten my spirit Lord and regularly lead me into my fields of meditation that I may hear You and know Your will more clearly. Teach me to withdraw that I may learn meditation.
