Genesis 27:22-24 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo Jacob went near to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, \u2018The voice is Jacob\u2019s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.\u2019 And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau\u2019s hands; so he blessed him. Then he said, \u2018Are you really my son Esau?\u2019 He said, \u2018I am.’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isaac had some reservations about who was really in his presence. Though his eyes were dim, he sensed something was wrong. First, the timing and speed of getting the meal ready were wrong. Secondly, the voice was wrong. The hands were the hands of Esau, and the smell of the garments were also those of Esau, but he still sensed something was unusually wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Follow your inner God-given instincts. Don\u2019t depend on human reasoning or human evidence. Sometimes, you might only feel something is wrong, but you may not be able to place what it is. This type of gut instinct is God\u2019s gift to his saints. Don\u2019t proceed when you have a high inward check or inner restlessness about something. Don\u2019t proceed. Stop to double check and triple check. And if after all your checking you still don\u2019t have peace in your spirit man, drop the project until peace comes. Isaac had to ask again: \u201cAre you really my son Esau?\u201d He knew something was wrong, but his physical discernment couldn\u2019t identify what it was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust your inner instinct and align your actions to that instinct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
