Rachel was well trained like Rebekah was. It seemed like these girls had been properly brought up and they also had close family integration and ties. In this case, once Jacob introduced whom he was, she ran and told her father. This showed a closeness in bonding and communication. Rachel was not a child. She must have had some level of strength and responsibility to be allowed to take the sheep out grazing by herself. She must have been a tough young lady. But when a stranger began to introduce himself in a particular way, she knew her dad needed to be involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children, be close to your parents. Parents, be close to your kids. Let the lines of communication always be open so that you can discuss deep and personal issues, even at the shortest notice. That Rachel ran and told her father showed the depth of trust and friendship they had together. She was not afraid; she just needed her father\u2019s involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May we never think we know it all and have all the answers. Find out when you need to take your issues to a father for interpretation and counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
