Genesis 32:4-5 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd he commanded them, saying, \u2018Speak thus to my lord Esau, \u201cThus your servant Jacob says: \u2018\u2026I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, and male and female servants; and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find favor in your sight.’\u201d\u2018\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jacob, the perfect schemer, did everything to appease his brother before he would meet him face to face. All kinds of strategies were used starting with this one where he called him \u201clord,\u201d called himself \u201cservant,\u201d gave a breakdown of his material prosperity- all in an attempt to influence Esau before they met. Later on, Jacob sent gifts ahead also. But the response he got from his advance team to Esau was, \u201che is coming to meet you with four hundred men also.\u201d And Jacob panicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let God sort you out. When God has dealt with you, He can deal with those who hate you or are offended by you. Don\u2019t always try to work things out in your human wisdom. It doesn\u2019t work. But when God has done His job, then you can be sure that change will happen, and your safety is assured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know You can and will do it for me, Lord. I have relationships that just have not seemed to work, despite all my schemes and efforts. I now hand them over to You.
