Genesis 33:16-17 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo Esau returned that day on his way to Seir. And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, built himself a house, and made booths for his livestock\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although Esau had invited and expected Jacob to join him at Seir, we see Jacob, on the contrary, moving out towards Succoth. Why is this? This was because Jacob knew that their destinies were not the same. Joining your fate with that of a man on another journey would only limit the fulfillment of your destiny. If he had gone to Seir, he would have had a great welcoming and probably excellent accommodation. But he rather chose to build booths and to live in tents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t follow other people\u2019s destinies especially when you are not sure of where their destinies lead them. Follow the leading of God for your life, even if for a season you need to live in booths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your companionship matter on the journey of destiny. Be vigilant whom you travel with and where you dwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
