Genesis 49:8 (NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJudah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father\u2019s children shall bow down before you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than ten positive & prophetic statements and descriptions are attributed to Judah, the most of any of the brothers. Amazing. But one of the most interesting was that he would overcome his enemies and from him shall Shiloh come; the scepter of the Almighty and from Him shall obedience come from all peoples. The prophecy concerning the coming Messiah was clearly declared and it, of course, became a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is not clear why God chose Judah, but the reality was that in Him, eternal prophecy was eventually fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
