I know this is a dangerous prayer but I mean it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Catch me and wound me Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound my pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound my self conceitedness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound my arrogance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound my sense of superiority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound my sensual addictions to inordinate desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound me Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI cannot claim to know what I need because I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot claim to know how to pray because I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All I know is that my life is not a beautiful example of heaven\u2019s image,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And this is an offense to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know that there\u2019s more of God to be had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know that if I am still strong and in charge of my life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will never enter into that holy place of transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know that I am in need of wounding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need the pain of being humiliated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need the pain of heart circumcision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need the pain of feeling neglected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need the pain of rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All these pains are good for me because they wake me up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to awake from the false impressions built in and around me by me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Self is so wicked and deceitful, hence the need for the wounding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAwake my inner conscience and consciousness through pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smite me Lord and bruise me in such a way that I realize I am but a man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot be allowed to arrogate arrogance to myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will not be a Herod who had to be smitten by an angel and worms ate him because he forgot he was but a man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No Lord, I don\u2019t want Angels to smite me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I want You to smite me because You will do it with love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When You smite me, You do it to heal me and not to destroy me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your pain brings healing and restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your wounds bring wholeness and completeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I am afraid but I know it\u2019s the right prayer to make:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wound me Lord, that I may be healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
